The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Crypto Task Force will convene a landmark roundtable titled "Tokenization — Moving Assets Onchain: Where TradFi and DeFi Meet" on May 12 at its Washington D.C. headquarters. Commissioner Hester M. Peirce emphasized the event’s significance, stating tokenization may radically transform financial markets.
The four-hour session will feature expert panels discussing regulatory implications of blockchain-based asset representation. Public access will be granted both physically—with registration required—and via live stream on the SEC website. This marks a critical step in formalizing dialogue between regulators and the digital asset industry.
